Course info

This course deals with basic structure of English sentences with emphasis on nouns and personal pronouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs, present tense, past tense, future tense, modals, determiners, word order, concord, sentences, gerund and infinitive, conjunction, and linking verbs. The topics are sequenced from simple to complicated, when possible. Lecture, discussion, problem solving, and observation will be the technique in delivering the theory of English sentence structure and then students are assigned to do exercises through work performance both individually and in small groups in the classroom or at home. Class discussion will be used to discuss students’ work after they do the exercises.
